Matthew Barrett - Managing Partner

Matthew acts for a wide range of private and commercial clients in relation to property, trusts, family and wealth management matters.

In addition Matthew is often instructed to notarise documents for use in foreign jurisdictions in his capacity as a notary public. He also arranges legalisation of documents via the Foreign & Commonwealth Office and specific foreign embassies. He has particular expertise in the application of the law of England & Wales in foreign jurisdictions and is often asked to provides certificates for use abroad based on his knowledge.

As an accredited mediator Matthew combines his unique depth of subject knowledge with dispute resolution acumen to help participants create their own satisfactory solutions where possible.

In his spare time Matthew is a sports enthusiast, particularly rugby, cricket and golf. He is also involved in several charitable and educational institutions in the local community through pro bono and volunteering roles.
